Pengetahuan, Sikap Dan Praktik Analis Kesehatan Laboratorium Patologi Klinik Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tentang Vaksinasi Hepatitis B
Hepatitis B is still the one of public health problems in the world including in
Indonesia. The most at risk group to hepatitis B virus exposure are healthcare
workers. Healthcare workers who had the highest prevalence of hepatitis B virus
exposure are clinical laboratory analysts. The best way to prevent hepatitis B
infection is by getting vaccination. Therefore, healthcare workers, especially
clinical laboratory analysts, are prioritized in getting the hepatitis B vaccination.
In Indonesia, however, hepatitis B vaccination for healthcare workers is not yet
required. The purpose of this study was to determine knowledge, attitude and
practice among clinical laboratory analysts at RSUD Arifin Achmad Riau Province
about hepatitis B vaccination. This descriptive cross-sectional study was carried
out between October 2021 and January 2022. Overall, 38 clinical laboratory
analysts were recruited for this study. Knowledge, attitude and practice about
hepatitis B vaccination were evaluated using a well-structured questionnaire. The
results of this study indicate that 52.6% had good knowledge and 57.9% had a
positive attitude about hepatitis B vaccination. About 68.4% of respondents were
not vaccinated against hepatitis B virus because it has not been facilitated by their
place of work.
