Perbandingan Kuantitatif Derajat Keasaman (Ph) Kulit Lesi Dan Non Lesi Pada Pasien Dermatitis Atopik Di Kota Pekanbaru
The skin is the outermost organ of the human body and has various functions. One
indicator that affects the physiological function of the skin is the acidity (pH). The
acidity of human skin ranges from 4.1 to 5.8 and is acidic. Skin acidity also affects
some skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis. Patients with atopic dermatitis
experience disturbances in one component of the skin acidity regulator, resulting
in damage tothe skin barrier. The purpose of this study was to compare the pH of
lesional and non-lesional skin in atopic dermatitis. The design of this research is
cross-sectional with 18 respondents. The results showed that the majority of
respondents were female (11 people) and the highest age group was 26-35 years
old. The results of the measurement of the pH of the lesional skin were 5.09 ± 0.64
and the non- lesional pH was 4.68 (3.98-6.14). The statistical test showed that
there was no significant difference between the pH of the lesional skin (p = 0.17)
and the non- lesional pH (p = 0.11) in male and female respondents. Based on
statistical tests, there was a significant comparison between the pH of the lesional
skin and the pHof the non-lesional skin in atopic dermatitis (p = 0.002).
