Kontribusi Supervisi Akademik Kepala Sekolah Dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru Di SMP Negeri Kecamatan Senapelan
Various problems faced by schools as educational institutions make schools need to introspect on their role and performance in educating students, what efforts must be made to develop better, creative, and more innovative school programs. One of the educational problems faced by our nation Indonesia is the low quality of education at every level and education unit, especially in primary and secondary education.
Teacher performance in its implementation requires continuous supervision, direction, and improvements to improve its performance which will affect student achievement and achieve the goals set by the school. In addition, phenomena related to problems that exist in the field regarding teacher performance can be identified, including: 1) In terms of achieving targets; some teachers have not been able to complete assignments quickly and precisely or work creatively and innovatively. 2) Teachers have not implemented varied learning strategies, 3) Teachers have not implemented an effective structure of learning activities, and 4) Teachers have not improved teaching performance through Classroom Action Research. (CAR), and Based on the background, some problems in this research can be formulated as follows: 1) Is there a contribution from the principal's academic supervision to the performance of teachers in State Junior High Schools in Senapelan sub-district? 2) Is there a significant contribution of work motivation to the performance of teachers at the State Junior High School Senapelan sub-district? 3) Is there a significant contribution of the principal's academic supervision and the work motivation of teachers together on the performance of teachers in the State Junior High School Senapelan sub-district.
The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of the principal's academic supervision to the performance of teachers in the Senapelan District Junior High School. the work motivation of teachers together on the performance of teachers in the State Junior High School Senapelan sub-district. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire with 97 respondents from 78 public junior high schools in Senapelan District who were randomly selected as samples using the Slovin formula. The research method was carried out, namely the respondents gave responses to the questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential statistics.
Based on the data analysis, it was found from the discussion that the Principal's Academic Supervision contributed to teacher performance. The better the Principal's Academic Supervision is given, the more effective the teacher's performance will be. This means that the Principal's Academic Supervision is an important variable to consider so that teacher performance can improve. Motivation contributes to teacher performance. The higher the work motivation, which is described by a high work ethic, will support better teacher performance. Therefore, work motivation is an important variable to consider in improving teacher performance. Principal's Academic Supervision and Work Motivation contribute to teacher performance. The better the Academic Supervision of the Principal and the higher the Work Motivation, the better the teacher's performance
