Perbedaan Hasil Tangkapan Sondong Pagi Dan Sore Hari Di Desa Selat Akar Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau

ABSTRACT
The research was conducted from April 20th to May 4th, 2021 in Selat Akar
Village, Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was
to determine the difference between sondong catches in the morning and evening
with the survey method, namely observing directly the fishing gear of sondong
and participating in making catching in the morning between 08.00 and 12.00
WIB and in the afternoon between 13.00 and 17.00 WIB. Result of study showed,
the catch of sondong in the morning was different from the afternoon catch, where
the number of catches in the morning was 69,580 grams with a total of 145,163
individuals, while the catches in the afternoon were 58,180 grams with a total of
112,528 individuals. The types of sondong catches that were the highest and
lowest in the morning and evening as a whole consisted of anchovy (Stolephorus
spp) with a total of 127,200 gr (257,616 tails), tembang fish (Sardinella fimbriata)
of 282 gr (47 tails), pepetek fish (Leiognathus equulus) of 162 grams (16 tails),
and ketang fish (Drepane punctata) of 116 grams (12 tails). The parameters of the
aquatic environment were obtained, namely, water temperature ranged from 29.2-
32.2˚C, current speed ranged from 17-25 cm/second, salinity ranged from 27-30
o/oo, and brightness level ranged from 60-67 cm.
