Pengaruh Edukasi Kesehatan Terhadap Perilaku Buang Air Besar Sembarangan Pada Anak Sekolah Dasar Negeri 001 Buluh Cina
Open defecation (BABS) in Indonesia is still a challenge for sanitation
development and socio-cultural problems from the behavior of residents who are
accustomed to defecating in any place. The purpose of this study was to determine
the effect of health education on knowledge and attitudes of open defecation
(BABS) in elementary school-aged children. This type of research is quantitative
research with a quasi-experimental research design, with one group with pre and
post test design. This research was conducted in Buluh Cina Village, Siak Hulu
District, Kampar Regency. The population sample in this study was 30 elementary
school age children who performed open defecation from grades 3 to 6. Data
analysis used paired sample t-test (for normally distributed data), The data is not
normally distributed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance value of p 0.05). Furthermore,
health education was proven to have a significant effect on respondents' attitudes
to become better with a p-value of 0.001 (0.05).
