ABSTRACT
According to Mahardika (in M.Kautsar Nur Rochman, 2017) Road
Transport Traffic Safety Facilities (KLLAJ) are all parts of the road and there are
several criteria as considerations to optimize the safety of road users including
traffic signs, road markings, traffic signaling devices. traffic, street lighting
devices, controllers and road user safety devices. The purpose of installing road
equipment facilities is to improve safety and provide regular movement of road
users.
From the explanation above, it is necessary to evaluate the existing road
equipment on Jalan HR. Soebrantas, whether the current condition of the road
equipment is feasible or not for road users to use. This prompted the author to
conduct research on equipment and traffic facilities on Jalan HR. Soebrantas
Handsome District, Pekanbaru City.
Based on the research that has been done by the author, there are several
things that are not in accordance with proper road equipment. Some of them are
road equipment facilities available on HR roads. Soebrantas there are 9 (nine)
equipment facilities out of 12 (twelve) equipment facilities based on the
Regulation of the Director General of Land Transportation Number
SK.4303/AJ.002/DRJD/2017, and there are three (three road equipment facilities
on the HR. Soebrantas road section). Those that have met the standard provisions
include street lights, traffic barriers and safety fences, while 9 (nine) road
equipment facilities that meet the standards are still found, namely road markings,
signs, traffic signaling devices, bus stops, sidewalks, zebra crossings, bridges.
crossings, pelican crossings and rowdy bands.
