Kearifan Lokal Petani Padi Sawah Di Kecamatan Lintau Buo Utara Kabupaten Tanah Datar Provinsi Sumatera Barat

ABSTRACT
This research aims to know the existence local wisdom of rice farmers
and to know the values that exist in the rice farming community in North Lintau
Buo Subdistrict. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis with an
ethnographic approach, to investigate a culture with in-depth interviews and
participatory observation. The informants used in this research amounted to 16
informants, consisting of rice farmers spread across the five villages of North
Lintau Buo Subdistrict. The results showed that rice farmers in Lintau Buo Utara
Subdistrict still practice local wisdom, there are 20 total local wisdoms with 13
local wisdoms that are still being implemented and there are 7 local wisdoms that
are no longer implemented. Local wisdom in lowland rice cultivation practiced by
farmers in North Lintau Buo District has values, namely: religious values, mutual
cooperation values, tolerance values, and environmental care values.
