ABSTRACT
UPT Legal Metrology Pekanbaru is a Technical Implementation Element of the Trade
and Industry Department which carries out the activity of calibrating and recalibrating
Measuring Instruments, Weights and Equipment which aims to ensure public interest,
order and legal certainty in measurements in accordance with the Law of Indonesia
Number 2 of 1981. UPT Metrology Legal Pekanbaru has several problems, including
ineffectiveness in collecting calibrated and recalibrated data, uncontrolled use of paper,
duplication of certificates, and slowness in the process of making monthly reports. This
problem can be solve by the existence of a web-based information system that can
facilitate data control using the permission function and manage data quickly and
efficiently. This information system focuses on one measuring instrument, that called
measuring tank of the truck. The making of this system uses HTML, PHP, CSS, and Java
Script languages. This system also uses several tools that help in making systems such as
XAMPP, and Visual Studio Code. The system uses the waterfall method in its
development. System testing uses usability testing and black box testing. The result of this
research is a web-based information system that can control calibrated and recalibrated
data and provide efficient and accurate data management.
