Oil Palm Research Center Dengan Penerapan Arsitektur Biofilik

ABSTRACT
The oil palm plantation industry has shown significant growth and development.
In Indonesia, oil palm plantations have been the largest plantation sub-sector in
recent years. Oil palm starting from fruit, midrib, stem, to waste has great
potential to be developed. This palm oil processing requires further research and
development that aims to produce various product innovations from palm oil.
From this background, a special place is needed to support research and
development activities in the form of the required facilities and infrastructure,
namely by establishing an Oil Palm Research Center. Building This will
accommodate all activities related to oil palm such as research centers, training
centers, laboratories and also experimental plantations for oil palm. Another
thing that becomes the background is the negative issues that arise on the
environment caused by oil palm such as water pollution, air pollution and
greenhouse gas emissions as a result of improper palm oil processing procedures,
the application of Biophilic Architecture which has the concept of fostering
relationships between humans and nature is expected to create a balance between
nature and the surrounding environment, so that it can help reduce the
possibilities that arise as a result of these environmental problems.
