Sejarah Koto Sentajo Sebagai Desa Cagar Budaya Di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi (2002-2020)

Koto Sentajo is a Traditional Village in Kuantan Singingi Regency which has been designated as one of the main objects of cultural tourism in Riau Province. The main attraction is a cultural heritage building in the form of a traditional house called the Godang House. The existence of 24 units of Rumah Godang makes this village dubbed as a Cultural Heritage Village. The aims of this study are to (1) find out how the history of Koto Sentajo Village became a Cultural Heritage Village, (2) determine the influence of cultural heritage on the lives of the people of Koto Sentajo Village, and (3 ) Knowing the role of the community and traditional institutions in the management and preservation of Cultural Conservation in Koto Sentajo Village. This research uses historical research methods, as for the results of this research as follows, The long process of Koto Sentajo Village as a traditional tourism village has been initiated for a long time, but it was only in 2017 that it could be implemented. The Importance of Cultural Conservation as a heritage of the nation's wealth is used by the community as a cultural tourism destination that has an impact on the independence and economic welfare of the community. Government, Customary Institutions together with the community work together to preserve Cultural Conservation. One of its important roles is to ensure that the culture and cultural heritage (Cultural Heritage) in Koto Sentajo Village remains sustainable in the historical time dimension, past, present and future.
