Penggunaan Media Tebak Gambar Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas VIII G SMP Negeri 4 Tambang
This study aims to increase the social studies learning motivation of grade VIII
G students of SMP Negeri 4 Tambang by utilizing picture-guessing learning media.
This type of research is Classroom Action Research using 2 cycles. Each cycle consists
of two meetings which include four stages, namely planning, implementation,
observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used teacher activity
observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and student learning motivation
observation sheets. Data analysis of teacher activity observations was carried out by
calculating the percentage of activities carried out by teachers during the learning
process, then categorized into 4 criteria, namely less, enough, good, and very good.
Analysis of data from observations of student activities was carried out by calculating
the percentage of student activity for each indicator. Data analysis is described
descriptively. Learning is said to be successful if there is an increase in student learning
activities and motivation after learning by utilizing picture guessing media. The
indicator of the success of students' learning motivation is to achieve high criteria with
a percentage of >75%. The results showed that the percentage of student learning
activities in the first cycle was 54.36% with the good category increasing in the second
cycle to 80.56% with the very good category. Students' learning motivation can be
seen from the results of observations in the first cycle is 57.82% then increased in the
second cycle to 85.73%. Based on the research results obtained, the use of picture
guessing learning media can increase students' learning motivation.
