Hubungan Self Determination Dengan Keterampilan Sosial Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Tk Pertiwi Kota Pekanbaru

This research was motivated by Social skills in children aged 5-6 years in Pertiwi Kindergarten in Pekanbaru City are still not maximized. In accordance with the formulation of the problem that has been stated, the objectives of this study are "1) To find out the description of social skills in children aged 5-6 years in Pertiwi Kindergarten, Pekanbaru City. 2) To know the picture Self Determinationin children aged 5-6 years in Pertiwi Kindergarten, Pekanbaru City. And 3) To find out the relationship between Self Determination with social skills in children aged 5-6 years in Pertiwi Kindergarten, Pekanbaru City". Type this research is correlational research. The population in this study was class B2 and B3 in TK Pertiwi Pekanbaru City totaling 31 children. The research data obtained will be analyzed using statistical analysis methods using the correlation test of pearson product moment. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the researchers conclude that: 1) Self determination Parents who have children aged 5-6 years at Pertiwi Kindergarten in Pekanbaru City are generally in the good category with a percentage of 76.08%, meaning that the condition self determination have competence towards their children, including freedom, and their relationship in social interactions that are classified as good. 2) The social skills of children aged 5-6 years at Pertiwi Kindergarten in Pekanbaru City, the majority are in the good category with a percentage score of 77.34%, meaning that children have self-awareness, a sense of responsibility and good social behavior. and 3) There is a significant and positive relationship between self determination with the social skills of children aged 5-6 years in Pertiwi Kindergarten, Pekanbaru City with a moderate or moderately strong relationship.
