ABSTRACT
The liquid waste produced by the palm oil mill needs to be monitored regularly to avoid
pollution and the negative impact of the waste which will later be discharged into the
river. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the quality of palm oil liquid waste, one of
which is by measuring the waste water disposal pond. In this study, a website will be
created for monitoring the acidity level of liquid waste and the level of turbidity of
liquid waste in Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU). In the design of the liquid waste
monitoring system using Arduino Mega 2560 as a microcontroller, analog pH sensor as
acidity acidity level, turbidity sensor as turbidity level, nodemcu esp8266 as a data
transmission module to database server and web hosting to display sensor reading data
in the liquid waste disposal pool palm oil. The test results in the field obtained an
average value of 2.96 pH sensor readings and a turbidity level of 274 NTU.
