ABSTRACT
Taruna Satria Pekanbaru Vocational School is currently one of the leading
vocational schools in Pekanbaru, where one of the supports is The facilities owned
by the Taruna Satria Pekanbaru Vocational School are quite complete in each
department, as well as the TKJ department which already has complete facilities
including computers and the internet. The background of this research is that the
Taruna Satria Vocational School Pekanbaru has not maximized the use of the
bandwidth available on the Mikrotik router device so that the use of internet
services in the laboratory is still not controlled, and it is not uncommon for these
students to do things such as downloading large files that are not related to lessons
or lessons. streaming, which of course causes bandwidth an uneven user, resulting
in one user another downloading quickly while user other downloads slower than
users . Based on this background, bandwidth with the Queue Tree at the TKJ SMK
Taruna Satria Laboratory, so that each user allocation bandwidth for each user
based on the number of PCs connected to the network. The tests carried out in this
study include Speedtest, downloading files to find out whether the distribution of
bandwidth allocation has been evenly distributed or not, and also testing QoS
(Quality of Service) analysis to determine the quality of the network that has applied
bandwidth.research speedtest and file downloads allocation bandwidth is evenly
distributed based on the number of active computers, and for QoS testing, the index
value is 3.66 and is in the good category.
