Manajemen Bandwidth Menggunakan Metode Simple Queue Di Bnnk Tebing Tinggi

BNNK Tebing Tinggi Office is a vertical agency of the National Narcotics Agency
whose role is to formulate and implement national policies regarding the
prevention and eradication of narcotics abuse and illicit trafficking. In addition,
employees take care of matters related to administration, sending and receiving
data locally and between agencies using the internet network. Employees often
experience problems when accessing the internet and unstable networks because
the distribution of bandwidth is not in accordance with the needs of each
employee who uses the internet. Therefore, it is necessary to do bandwidth
management to control so that the existing bandwidth is divided accordingly to
needs. One method to manage bandwidth is to use Simple Queue. Simple Queue
uses a simple limiting feature based on upload and download transfer speeds.
Based on the test, the final result showed that the throughput parameter value
increased well by more than 100%. Compared to before the management was
carried out but there was no significant change in the delay and packet loss
parameters.
