Pengelolaan Bandwidth Jaringan Dengan Menggunakan Metode Rate Limit Committed Information Rate (Cir) Dan Maximum Information Rate (Mir) Berbasis Hierarchical Token Bucket (Htb)
ABSTRACT
Bapelkes is a goverment office for conducting training, especially for health
workers in Riau Province. In addition to training, employees also really need a
network to send data locally to between agencies. It is not uncommon in internet
usage to find inefficient internet networks because there are quite a lot of users so
that the distribution of bandwidth does not match the needs of each user. Therefore,
bandwidth management is needed so that the distribution of bandwidth becomes
efficient. One of the bandwidth management methods is Hierarchical Token Bucket
(HTB). HTB is able to limit the bandwidth of each user and take advantage of
unused bandwidth, but according to the bandwidth limit that has been configured
using the burst feature, the bandwidth obtained between users is according to
needs, so that users can work effectively and efficiently in terms of bandwidth usage.
Based on the final test and analysis, it was found that the upload and download
throughput values increased significantly by 100-200% compared to before the
study. The previously bad delay and jitter values increased significantly to very
good, namely from 400 ms down to small from 1 ms. However, there is no
significant change in packet loss.
