Perancangan Modern Dance Center Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Ekspresionisme Di Pekanbaru

ABSTRACT
Modern Dance Center is a place or building that is useful for facilitating all
activities in modern dance, from training to performances. Through this facility,
individuals, groups or communities who have an interest and interest in modern
dance can channel their talents and creativity. Pekanbaru City is the location
chosen for the design of this Modern Dance Center because of the lack of facilities
that can accommodate these modern dance activities. This Modern Dance Center
applies an Expressionism Architecture approach that is not rigid and emphasizes
the spiritual and emotional side of the functional aspects of the building or building
as a place for expressing the architect's thoughts. The design concept of the Modern
Dance Center in Pekanbaru is "Silhouettes of Dancing Couple" which means the
silhouette of a pair of dancers. This concept is applied to the shape of the building
so that it can produce a symbolic building shape in accordance with the
characteristics of Expressionism Architecture. This Modern Dance Center can also
provide an introduction and promotional event to the general public about matters
related to modern dance, so that it can attract public interest to participate in
activities in this modern dance which can bring positive things to the progress of
new recreational events in Indonesia. Pekanbaru city.
