Pembuatan Penyearah Satu-Fasa Gelombang Penuh Terkendali Thyristor Untuk Pengisian Baterai Asam-Timbal
The SLA type battery became popular in motorcycles around 1983, because the
sulfuric acid electrolyte was absorbed into the separator, so it would not spill. SLA or
Sealed Lead Acid Batteries. The use of the name Sealed Lead Acid because the
battery cell room is completely sealed without ventilation or channels related to
outside air so that it is able to withstand the release of electrolyte liquid or gas
resulting from chemical reactions. For continuous use it is necessary to recharge the
charge. Charging is a process where the battery will be powered by a power source
whose voltage value has been adjusted to the battery specifications. One method of
charging the battery is with a constant charging current from initial charge until the
battery is fully charged. The charging process is indicated by the voltage on the
battery rising to its maximum voltage and the battery current dropping to near zero
amperes when fully charged. A thyristor-controlled full-wave single-phase rectifier
uses a control circuit, namely IC TCA 785 and a 15 volt power supply to synchronize
the control circuit. The process of charging the battery with an initial voltage of
48.1V to full at 12.83V takes 190 minutes with a constant current of 4A.
