Studi Korelasi Karakter Peduli Sosial Dengan Hasil Belajar PKn Siswa Kelas XI Di SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru

The background of the research is the potential that refers to the personality attitudes of students, one of which is the practice of social care characters with Civics learning outcomes for class XI students at SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was a correlation between social care characters and the learning outcomes of Civics for class XI students at SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. This research is quantitative through statistical analysis method, namely the Product Moment correlation formula assisted by the IBM SPSS version 20 program. The population in this study were all students of class XI at SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru, totaling 452 students. Determination of the sample using the Proportional Random Sampling technique with a sample of 68 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru with consideration of Civics learning outcomes obtained in class X semester 2. Data collection methods are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Based on the statistical hypothesis test that the hypothesis Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a correlation of social care character with Civics learning outcomes of class XI students at SMAN 12 Pekanbaru with an r-count correlation coefficient greater than r-table (0.650 > 0.235). The correlation can be seen from the number of correlation coefficients, the results are positive, namely 0.650 which is in the range of 0.60-0.799 with the interpretation of "big or strong relationship".
