Pengembangan E-Book Berbasis Flip Pdf Professional Pada Materi Sistem Respirasi Kelas XI SMA
21st century learning requires teachers and students to have information and communication technology skills. In education, information and communication technology acts as a means or tool to enable an effective and efficient learning process. For this reason, the government established a curriculum to uniform education in Indonesia in order to achieve the planned educational goals.
The 2013 curriculum requires the active role of teachers in creating more meaningful learning, by applying varied learning models, utilizing effective learning media and adequate learning resources. Teaching and learning activities that are not supported by unattractive learning resources cause students to be lazy to learn. To minimize students becoming lazy to study during the online learning process, one of them is by developing a professional flip pdf-based e-book.
Based on the results of the pre-survey, the teacher stated that the respiratory system material is biological material that is quite difficult for students to understand because there are many processes that need to be studied and are abstract, such as the physiological processes of the body related to its structure and function, as well as the relationship between organs in relation to the body's physiology. In addition, the problem that occurs is that the learning process during the current COVID-19 pandemic is still not optimal in developing learning resources. Learning tends to only distribute material to students, in the form of printed books, modules and reading resources from the internet. For this reason, researchers develop learning resources that are devoted to e-books by using a professional flip pdf application that can be easily accessed, an attractive display in the form of a flipbook and not only focused on text, but is able to display images, videos from YouTube, MP4, audio, video, hyperlinks, quizzes, flash, and others so that learning is not monotonous and can help students visualize abstract material.
The research was conducted on the campus of the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University and at SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. The implementation time of development research is

November 2021 - January 2022. The type of research is development which refers to the R&D research approach using the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were KD 3.7 and 4.7 regarding the respiratory system material for class XI SMA.
The research procedure starts from curriculum analysis, concept analysis and student analysis. The design and development phase of the professional flip pdf-based e-book learning device was continued. After the complete professional flip pdf-based e-book has been produced, validation is carried out by the validator to see the validity of the e-book development. Next, a phase I trial was conducted to determine student responses to the e-book that had been developed and a phase II trial was also conducted to SMAN 2 Pekanbaru students to determine student responses to the developed e-book. The instruments used to collect data are validation sheets and questionnaires. The validation sheet consists of 4 aspects, namely the display aspect, the program aspect, the content aspect and the language aspect, while the questionnaire sheet consists of 3 aspects, namely the display aspect, the content aspect and the language aspect. Research data were collected by filling out validation sheets and test questionnaires. Validators and respondents provide input and suggestions to improve the e-book that has been developed.Based on the results of data analysis, the average e-book validation results based on the four aspects are 3.82 with a very valid category. The four aspects include the display aspect with an average of 3.82, the program aspect with an average of 3.83, the content aspect with an average of 3.83 and the language aspect with an average of 3.80. 4.7 respiratory system material the average overall score is 3.73 very good category. In the limited trial phase II of the three e-books, an average score of 3.72 was obtained in the very good category. It was concluded that a professional flip pdf-based e-book on the human respiratory system material for class XI high school students had been successfully developed and obtained a very valid category and could be implemented on a wide scale.
