SIDE EFFECTS OF THE USE OF ANTI TUBERCULOSIS (OAT) SHORT
TERM REGIMENT (STR) AND INDIVIDUAL REGIMENTS IN MULTI DRUG
RESISTANCE TUBERCULOSIS (MDR TB) PATIENTS IN ARIFIN ACHMAD

Short term regimen and Individual Regimen are the treatment of MDR TB.
The short term regimen is a treatment run for 9-11 months, while the individual
regimen is run for 20-24 months. The purpose of this study is to find out what side
effects are felt by MDR TB patients who undergo Short time Regimen and Individual
Regimen treatment at AA Riau Province Hospital in 2018-2019.
This research is a retrospective descriptive survey with a retrospective
approach, namely by looking at medical records. This research was conducted on
treatment patients in 2018-2019 at the Arifin Achmad Riau Provincial Hospital , with
the number of samples obtained, with total 52 samples of MDR TB patients with short
term regimen and individual regimen treatment.
Of the 52 samples, it was found that the type of regimen in the treatment of
patients with MDR TB was the treatment using the Short Term Regimen as much as
63.46%. With the highest age was 46 to 64 years, namely 55.76%. Based on gender
grouping, patients who experienced the most MDR TB were men, as much as 67.30%.
Grouping based on comorbidities in MDR TB patients, namely patients who did not
have comorbidities as much as 61.54%. And the duration of drug use in patients who
experienced MDR TB was treatment for 9-11 months with a total of 63.46%.
