Sejarah Perkembangan Smas Karya Pengalihan Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir (2003-2019)

This thesis is etintled “ The History of Development of Karya Pengalihan SMAS Indragiri Hilir Regency 2003-2019”. The purpose of this research is to find out (1) How the history of the establishment of Karya Pengalihan SMAS 2003-2019. (2) How is the development of Karya Pengalihan SMAS 2003-2019. (3) What were the driving factors and inhibiting factors in the development of the Karya Pengalihan SMAS 2003-2019. (4) What is the public’s view of the Karya Pengalihan SMAS. This study uses a historical approach, data collection methods with field studies in the from of documentation and interviews as well as archive and library studies. This research was conducted in Karya Pengalihan SMAS. After the data is collected, data testing is carried out with source criticism, namely by testing the authenticity of the source and comparing the data with one another, such as comparing the results of interviews with written evidence. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that Karya Pengalihan SMAS was motivated by one need. Before the existence of the Karya Pengalihan SMAS many children were unable to continue their education to the SLTA, because at that time senior high schools only existed outside the area and took a long time to get to school and besides that other factors were due to costs such as transportation costs, housing, and costs for other needs. That is why Karya Pengalihan SMAS is here and is expected to be able to help children continue their schooling and achieve their dreams. The results of this thesis are, (1) Karya Pengalihan SMAS was founded in 2003 started by Mr. Abdul Basir, S.Sos. I, MM. (2) Karya Pengalihan SMAS has developed quite rapidly a few years of its establishment, in several aspects such as the number of students and the number of buildings that have increased. The supporting factors for the Karya Pengalihan SMAS supported by the local community, sufficient teaching staff, active students,

strong collaboration, vision and mission that are always carried out and emphasized, and the togetherness that exists. The factors that hindered the Karya Pengalihan SMAS were the limited facilities and infrastructure in the early days of the pilot. (4) the public’s view of the Karya Pengalihan SMAS. Every parent certainly has a different view in providing educational facilities for their children. That is why some of the community have decided not to continue their children’s schooling because they cannot give permission for schools outside the area. With the Karya Pengalihan SMAS the community especially the pengalihan village community makes the Karya Pengalihan SMAS a place to connect their children’s lives through education.
