Penggunaan Ekstrak Daun Sirih Hijau (Piper Betle L) Sebagai Bahan Anestesi Pada Transportasi Sistem Kering Lobster Air Tawar (Cherax Quadricarinatus)
Abstract
Freshwater lobster (Cherax quadricarinatus) is one of the freshwater aquaculture
commodities that has a high selling value. The price of live lobsters is higher than
dead lobsters, so an appropriate live transportation system is needed in order to keep
lobsters alive to consumers. The purpose of this study was to determine the best
dose and length of time for the live transportation of dry freshwater crayfish systems
that were given anesthesia with green betel leaf extract. The research method is
experimental consisting of two stages, 1) preliminary research to determine the best
dose and the transportation material used and 2) the main research to determine the
best transportation time. The experimental design used was a non-factorial
Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levels, namely K1 (6 hours), K2 (12
hours), K3 (18 hours), K4 (24 hours), then calculated the length of time awake,
survival, and post-transport weight loss. The results showed that the dose used was
400 mL / 4 L of fresh water with 33 minutes of fainting time, the best transportation
time was 12 hours (K2) with 68.67 minutes of conscious time, 90% survival and
weight loss of 3 g.
