Abstract
The research was conducted from March 30th to April 8th at the Carocok
Tarusan Coastal Fishing Port, West Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to
determine the technical aspects of the boat lift net fishing business, such as the lift
structure, fishing nets and nets frames. Calculating the economic aspects of the
boat fishing business in terms of capital, income and profits. Analyzing the level
of feasibility of the boat lift net business from a financial perspective seen from
the BCR, FRR, PPC and NPV and to determine the profitability of the two boats.
The method used in this study is a survey method, namely by interviewing boats
owner and crew members and participating directly in catching fish. The results of
the financial analysis show that the investment required for the boat lift net KM.
Wafik of Rp. 403.400.000,- gross income Rp. 636,375,000, - with a total cost of
Rp. 495,565,000,-. Thus the net income obtained in 2020 is Rp. 140,805,000,-.
Feasibility analysis for KM. Wafik is known that the NPV value is 514,096,397,
the BCR value is 1.28, the FRR value is 34.90% and the PPC is 2.8 years. The
results of the financial analysis show that the investment required for the boat lift
net KM. Wafik 02 of Rp. 535,420,000,- gross income Rp. 833,030,000, - with a
total cost of Rp. 688,373,200,-. Thus the net income obtained in 2020 is Rp.
144,656,800,-. Feasibility analysis for KM. Wafik 02 is known that the NPV
value is 571,379,242,- the BCR value is 1.21, the FRR value is 27.01% and the
PPC is 3.7 years. The analysis of the two boats has a positive NPV value, BCR >
1 and FRR > discount rate. This shows the fishing business of the boat lift net
KM. Wafik and KM. Wafik 02 at the Carocok Tarusan Coastal Fishing Port, West
Sumatra, has a good opportunity and deserves to be developed.
