learning is a process of interaction between students and educators and learning resources in a learning environment. In the 2013 curriculum permendikbud no 13 article 2 of 2013 states that learning is carried out based on activity or student must be active with characteristics : 1) interactive and inspiring. 2) fun and motivating, 3) contextual and collaborative, 4) provides sufficient space for creativity, and 5) according to talents and interests. The number of gaps or deficiebcis in historylearning activites so that it is less than optimal in achieving the desire goals. There are general learning problems such as the following : (1) there are still many educations that use the conventional paradigm, namely educators as listeners, (2) educators only focus on textbooks, (3) low level of imagination. This is because educators only focus on cognitive learning goals while psychomotor abilities are not paid attention to. To foster an attitude of nationalism is through increasing awareness of noble cultural values in schools, becoming an important forum for educating a student to be able to live side by side in society. Living in a society is not easy, basically, every human being has diversity in all aspects. These aspects include race, ethnicity, leanguange, religion, economy, gender, ect. These defferences are inevitable in human social life, humans, so the basic principle of equality, justice, openness, recognition of differences, is a value principle that humans need with the crush of global culture. Discovery Based Learning is a discovery-based-learning (inquiry-based), constructive and theoretical how to learn. The learning model given to students has learning scenarios to solve real problems and encourage them to solve their own problems. In solving their problems, because it is constructive, students use their previous experiences and solve problems. Activites they do by interacting to explore questions while experimenting with techniques.
