Nilai Perjuangan Dalam Novel Orang-Orang Biasa Karya Andrea Hirata

This study aims to describe the value of the struggle of the characters in the novel Orang-orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata as a reflection of character learning in high school equals and describe the implications of the value of struggle in the novel Orang-orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata on character learning in high school equals. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The source of data in this study is data in the form of narratives and dialogues contained in the novel Orang-orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata. The data was collected using library techniques with listening techiques and note-taking techniques. The results of research on the value of struggle in the novels Orang-orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata are mostly found in narrative form, while in the form of dialogue the characters are few to be found. Based on the Joyomartono theory, there are five types of struggle values, namely the value of self-sacrifice, unity, respect, patience and unyielding spirit, and cooperation. The value of struggle that has been found by the author in the novel Orang-orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata is implicated for character learning in high school or equivalent.
