This study aims to describe the typography of the collection a of prayer poems the sky
blooms love the sea by Abdul Kadir Ibrahim. This research is a qualitative research using
descriptive method and Close Reading approach. The data in this study, namely a collection of
poems in the book Prayer of the Sky blooms love the sea, by Abdul Kadir Ibrahim. The data
source in this study, namely the book Prayer of the Sky blooms love the sea by Abdul Kadir
Ibrahim, in the first half of which consists of 67 poems. The data collection technique used in this
study was through documentation and note taking techniques. Data analysis techniques in this
study are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the
study, it was found that there were three types of typography in the collection of poems from
prayer of the sky blooms love the sea, namely typography created to emphasize the text or a
series of words and sentences in a whole poem, typography was created as an interpretation or
meaning of a poem, and typography was created solely as an image, decorate, and make an
appeal to a poem.
