Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Poe Berbantukan Phet Simulation Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Peserta Didik Kelas VIII Pada Materi Getaran, Gelombang, Dan Bunyi
Concept understanding is defined as the ability of an individual to understand a certain concept. Students can not be said to have an understanding of the concept if students have not been able to explain the material that has been studied. At this time the learning process is still not optimal in developing the abilities of students. The application of the POE learning model assisted by PhET simulation is expected to increase students' understanding of concepts and interest in learning. The research design used was a quasi-experimental posttest control only design model. This research consists of an experimental class and a control class, where the experimental class will be given treatment, namely during the learning process the POE learning model assisted by PhET simulation will be applied, while in the control class learning will continue to use the conventional model. After the class is given treatment, both classes will be given a concept understanding test consisting of 20 multiple choice questions. Then, the concept understanding test will be analyzed using descriptive analysis through students' conceptual understanding and inferential analysis through normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing in the form of the Mann Whitney test.
