Perancangan Jaringan Hotspot Menggunakan Metode Random Sampling Di Sma Muhammadiyah Bangkinang
ABSTRACK
Hotspot is a place provided to access the internet without using a cable. Hotspot network requires an access point device that functions as a network transmitter. SMA Muhammadiyah Bangkinang uses Indihome internet with a Huawei HG8245H5 router as a transmitter with a range of about 25 meters and a bandwidth of 40 MBps. The use of the internet at SMA Muhammadiyah has problems, namely the uneven internet coverage in the study building. This of course can interfere with the teaching and learning process because of the less than optimal use of the internet network as a learning medium. Therefore, it is necessary to design a hotspot network using random sampling method and coverage visualization. Hotspot network design also uses the Ekahau Site Survey and InSSIDer applications. The result is that after designing a hotspot network, several rooms that were previously unreachable by the network have already received a network. Previously the room had an RSSI value of about -80dBm and after designing a hotspot network the room had an RSSI value of -50 dBm. Testing the quality of the hotspot network using the parameters of Throughput, Packet Loss and Delay. The results of the QOS test at SMA Muhammadiyah Bangkinang show that the network quality is very good with an index of 4.
