ABSTRACT
The development of the fashion world today in Indonesia is very fast. Many fashion designers are currently emerging and showing quality prospects in the field of the Indonesian fashion world today, especially in the city of Pekanbaru. In the city of Pekanbaru, higher education for fashion design are not available. This can hinder those who have an interest in fashion design to deepen and gain the necessary knowledge. The design of a fashion design school in the city of Pekanbaru needs to be carried out, which can include integrated educational and informative facilities, which can gather interest and talent in the field of fashion design in the city of Pekanbaru with existing standards to go further in the field of fashion in the city of Pekanbaru. The design of this fashion design high school uses a precedent approach to design school architectural works. Architectural precedent is one method of assessing architecture in depth, covering 5 characteristics obtained using topological analysis, namely Square Geometry, Energy Saving, Thermal and Visual, Relationships between Spaces, Facades as Aesthetic Elements and Structures. Such as the use of rectangular geometric shapes in the shape of the design building, ventilation openings in buildings, skylights in school rooms and hallways, the use of solar panels, the use of glass that can reduce heat, adjustments to the building site, stairs in the interior are made as a liaison between the corridors in the building, the learning garden as a liaison with the building, and the use of the facade in the building as an aesthetic impression on the building in addition to buffering sunlight.
