Analisis Tingkat Kesuburan Perairan Ditinjau Dari Kandungan Nitrat, Fosfat, Silikat Dan Kelimpahan Diatom Di Kawasan Industri Pelintung Dumai Provinsi Riau

ABSTRACT The level of water fertility can be measured by the abundance of primary producers of phytoplankton such as diatoms. Diatoms can be used as bioindicators of pollution which are very effective and economical. For survival, diatoms need nutrients such as nitrates, phosphates and silicates. This research was conducted from October - November 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of nitrate, phosphate, silicate and the abundance of diatoms and to determine the relationship between the content of nitrate, phosphate, silicate and the abundance of diatoms in the Pelintung Dumai Industrial Estate, Riau Province. The method used in this study is a survey method, where the sampling location consists of 4 research stations. Based on the value of nitrate and phosphate concentrations in the waters of the Pelintung Industrial Estate, it was found that the fertility level of the waters was moderate, both in high and low tide. While the value of silicate concentration indicates that the fertility level of the waters is moderate at high tide and less fertile at low tide. There are 16 species of diatoms found in the waters of the Pelintung Industrial Estate, including Isthmia sp, Coscinodiscus granii, Coscinodiscus nodulifer, Melosira sp, Pleurosigma affine, Grammatophora sp, Rhabdonema sp, Aulacoseira sp, Amphiprora gigantea, Nitzschia clementia, Skeletonema sp, Synedra. , Leptocylindrus sp, Amphisolenia thrinax, Dactylococcopsis sp and Tribonema sp. The abundance of diatoms in the waters of the Pelintung Industrial Estate at high tide ranges from 16.55 - 32.37 Ind/L and at low tide it ranges from 10.60 to 19.29 Ind/L.
