Struktur Komunitas Teripang Holothuroidea Di Perairan Pulau Sugi Desa Niur Permai Kecamatan Moro Kabupaten Karimun
ABSTRACT
This research was conducted on March 2021 and located in Niur Permai Village, Moro District, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. This research aimed to learn the community structure of sea cucumber in Sugi Island Waters of Niur Permai Village. The methodology used in this research was the survey method. The sample was taken using the purposive sampling method by determining three locations. There are four species found in this research, the most common family found was Stichopodide which are Stichopus horrens, S. hermanni, and S. ocellatus. According to the calculation, the third location has the highest number of total species which is 900 ind/ha found in the coral and seagrass area, and the second location has the lowest number of total species which is 7.66 ind/ha found in the sandy and muddy area. The diversity index is around 1.37-1.94, the evenness index is around 0.68-0.97 and the dominance index is around 0.27-0.29. The distribution pattern of Holothuridea is entirely spread in a group. According to the organic sediment matter analysis of Sugi Island Waters in Niur Permai Village, it is known that the highest average number is 2.85% and the lowest is 2.08%. The result of sediment fraction analysis on each location is gravel sand. Based on the water quality parameter measured in the research location, the environmental condition is good for the population of sea cucumbers.
