The development of literary works in Indonesia is undeniable, with many young and talented writers, writers who are professionals with a lot of experience in creating literary works, both novels, rhymes, poems, short stories, and poetry. These are all literary works created by the author. Literary writing is writing that has an element of beauty and has imagination that makes the readers enjoy the literary work. Literary works are born in the midst of society which is the result of the work of an author on social phenomena in the surrounding environment and the anxiety of the author himself. It is not always the issue of love that is the topic of every literary author, but nature, culture, customs, beliefs
and life. The results and essays of literary works are always associated with what
happens to the author which makes the genetics of the author to the literary work.
The problem in this research is how is the relationship between the theme and the
message in the collection of Bunatin poems by Dheni Kurnia. The purpose of this
research is to describe the themes and messages in a collection of bunatin poems
by Dheni Kurnia. The approach used in this study is a descriptive approach and
data collection methods using the documentation method. Based on the results of
this study, there are 94 theme data, each poem has a different theme and 94
mandate data in a collection of bunatin poems by Dheni Kurnia.
