Tree vegetation is a plant community in a certain area which has a diameter of 10 cm. tree vegetation is part of the material on biodiversity in the 2013 curriculum at KD 3.2 analyze, observational data on various levels of biodiversity (genes, species and ecosystems) and basic skills competensies 4.2 present observations of various levels of biodiversity in Indonesia and propose conservation efforts. This research was conducted from June to September 2021 at the Natural Laboratory of Biology Education FKIP University of Riau which aims to take an inventory of the type of tree vegetation that exist and produce a pocket book design for Biology material for high school class X. the result of the inventory of tree vegetation types can be designed inti a pocket book with a discovery learning approach from the analysis, design to the pocket book design stage.
