Bottom vegetation is a layer of ground cover consisting of herbs, shrubs or shrubs, lianas and ferns. The diversity of lower vegetation can be used for material enrichment of biodiversity at the species level. Biodiversity is a basic science that already exists in the field of ecology. This material on biodiversity has been used as the main material in the 2013 curriculum. Biodiversity is presented especially in material for class X SMA students, namely biology KD 3.2. Analyzing data from observations about various levels of biodiversity (genes, species and ecosystems) in Indonesia and their threats and preservation . This research was conducted at the Natural Laboratory of Biology Education, Riau University, the design of the pocket book was carried out in September 2021. The KD suitable to be integrated with the results of undergrowth research at the Natural Laboratory for Biology Education is KD 3.2. Analyzing data from observations about various levels of biodiversity (genes). , species and ecosystems) in Indonesia and their threats and conservation. The design of this pocket book is adapted to the discoveri learning approach. The undervegetation pocket book that has been made can be used as a learning medium for biodiversity material at SMA Biology class X from the analysis, design and development stages.
