Pengaruh Nocardia Spp (Tb01 Dan Tb04) Isolat Lahan Gambut Dalam Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Bibit Cabai Sebagai Media Handout Biologi SMA
Limited productive agricultural land causes agricultural development to lead to peatlands. However, the use of peatlands as a planting medium in agriculture is still very limited due to physical, chemical, and biological limitations of the soil. Suitable plants on peatlands are very limited due to drainage limiting factors, plant adaptability, peat maturity level, peat thickness and very high organic acids content. This causes the nutrients in the soil to experience elemental deficiency, such as phosphate nutrients. Phosphate is one of the essential macronutrients for plant growth and development. The limited availability of these nutrients in peat soils results in plants not being able to absorb phosphate nutrients directly. Efforts that can be made to increase the availability of these nutrients are by utilizing the activity of phosphate solubilizing bacteria.
The purpose of this study was to find out how the response to the growth of chili seedlings given phosphate solubilizing bacteria on peat soil and to find out the potential of the research results to be used as a medium for Biology handouts for class XII SMA. This research consists of two stages. The first stage was the effect of phosphate solubilizing bacteria, Nocardia sp1 (TB01) and Nocardia sp2 (TB04) on the growth of chili seedlings on peat soil including plant height, number of leaves, wet weight, dry weight, germination capacity and available P. The second stage is the design of high school biology handouts from the research results.
Based on the results of the study, it is known that the effect of phosphate solubilizing bacteria on the growth of chili seedlings with different soaking times can increase the growth of chili seedlings. Of the five treatments observed, the best chili seed growth was chili seeds soaked with Nocardia sp1 bacteria, this was directly proportional to the results of the measurement of the phosphate solubility index in
each isolate where Nocardia sp1 (TB01) and Nocardia sp2 (TB04) isolates had The phosphate solubility index value is 2.4 – 2.6 cm. However, if observed based on the interaction between treatments, no significant interaction was found on the immersion time with the type of phosphate solubilizing bacteria. This shows that the difference in the response time of immersion does not depend on the type of bacteria and vice versa. The data and facts from the research regarding the effect of Nocardia spp (TB01 and TB04) on the growth of chili seedlings on peat soil were used as a media handout for learning Biology in SMA class XII, namely KD 3.1, KD 4.1 on growth and development in plants.
From this study it can be concluded that the effect of Nocardia spp (TB01 and TB04) can increase the growth of chili seedlings on peat soil. The results found were used as a design for Biology handout media for Class XII SMA to enrich learning resources on growth and development materials in plants.
