Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Icare Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Pada Materi Momentum Dan Impuls Kelas X SMA
Physics is a science that has an important role in the world of education, because physics is a tool that can be used to shape students to think critically, logically, analytically and systematically. Activeness in learning physics lies in two aspects, namely active in action (hands activity) and active thinking (minds activity). In addition, students will be active if students can relate new knowledge to their initial understanding. But connecting the two in physics learning is not easy. Physics as a vehicle to grow thinking skills that are useful for solving problems in everyday life and equip students with knowledge, understanding and a number of abilities which are a requirement to enter higher education levels.
The purpose of this study was to determine the problem solving ability of class students by applying the ICARE Model to the Momentum and Impulse material and to determine the differences in students' problem solving abilities between the experimental class (using the ICARE model) and the control class (conventional).
MaThe benefits expected in this study include that other researchers are expected to be able to modify the ICARE model using media in the form of a virtual lab to overcome the weaknesses of the model and it is hoped that students can practice problem solving skills, especially in physics subjects.
PeneThis research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Tambang in the even semester of the academic year 2021/2022 with a population of all class X science and a sample of 59 people consisting of X IPA 1 and X IPA 2. The research design used was Quasi Experiment with nonequivalent control type. group design model "Posttest Only Control Group Design". This study consisted of an experimental class and a control class. In the experimental class, the treatment is

studyr by using the ICARE model, while the control class learns by using the conventional model. After being given treatment, both classes were given a posttest consisting of 5 essay questions. Then, the results of the problem solving ability will be analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis through normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing in the form of independent sample t test.
From the results of descriptive analysis, it was found that the results of students' problem solving abilities in the experimental class who studied using the ICARE model obtained very good criteria of 87.34 and 13.42 higher than the control class of 73.92 with good criteria. Based on the inferential analysis, it was found that the results of problem solving abilities between classes that studied with the ICARE Model were better than conventional ones on momentum and impulse materials.
BerBased on the results of the research, it shows that the ICARE learning model can be an effort to improve the results of students' problem solving abilities. Therefore, the author recommends modifying the ICARE model using media in the form of a virtual lab to overcome the weaknesses that exist in the model.
