Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Tgt Berbantuan Aplikasi Kahoot Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Peserta Didik Materi Tekanan Zat Kelas VIII SMP
Science learning is often considered a difficult subject that is identical to complex
formulas that make students less interested in the learning being taught. Students find
it difficult to understand the material because the implementation of learning in the
classroom is still monotonous and the supporting media are less attractive, this makes
students feel bored and bored until finally many students do not understand the
material being taught. One of the learning models that provide opportunities for
students to be actively involved and motivated is the TGT type cooperative learning
model assisted by the Kahoot application, learning activities with games designed in
the TGT type allow students to learn more actively. This study aims to describe the
effectiveness of the TGT type cooperative learning model (Team Games Tournament)
assisted by the kahoot application in improving cognitive learning outcomes, and to
determine the differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students who apply the
TGT cooperative learning model assisted by the kahoot application with the
conventional model class VIII MTs N. 1 Meranti Islands. The type of research used is
quasi-experimental using Posttest Only Nonequvalent Control Group Design. The
population of this study was 192 students of class VIII MTs N 1 Meranti Islands. The
sample of this research is the students of class VIII A as the control class and the
students of class VIII B as the experimental class. The data collection instrument was
in the form of a cognitive learning outcome test for class VIII students on substance
pressure. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive analysis and inferential analysis
using the SPSS version 23 application. The results of the descriptive analysis of this
study indicate that the experimental class has a higher average absorption capacity
than the control class, which is 70% with a good category but still below the KKM.
While inferential analysis, it was obtained that there were differences in student
cognitive learning outcomes between the control and experimental groups and the use
of the TGT type cooperative learning model assisted by the kahoot application was
effectively used to improve cognitive learning outcomes for class VIII MTs N 1 Meranti
Islands but was still below the KKM on Substance Pressure material.
