Penerapan Simulasi Phet Dengan Model Problem Solving Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Materi Cahaya
This study aims to determine the effect of applying PhET simulation with
problem solving models on students' understanding of concepts. The type of
research used is experimental research with a quasi-experimental design. The
control group design is not equivalent to the Posttest only control group design
model. The population in this study were all grade VII students of SMP Negeri
1 Kateman in the academic year 2021/2022 with a sample of 62 students
consisting of class VIII.3 as the control class which consisted of 31 students
and class VIII.5 as the control class. control class. experimental class with a
total of 31 students. The data collection instrument was in the form of a light
material concept understanding test for class VIII which consisted of 33
multiple choice reasoning questions. The data analysis used was descriptive
analysis through student absorption and inferential analysis through normality
test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS version 24
program. The results showed that student absorption in the experimental class
was better than the control class and there were significant differences.
