Pengaruh Penambahan Aditif Masterglenium Ace® 8595 Terhadap Kuat Tekan Beton Dengan Campuran Fly Ash Dan Bottom Ash
ABSTRACT
Fly ash and bottom ash (FABA) are wastes generated from the coal-fired power plant process. FABA has the potential to be developed as a basic material for concrete composites. MasterGlenium ACE® 8595 is a Type F (Water Reducing, High Range Admixture) chemical additive. This study aims to determine the effect of adding FABA and MasterGlenium ACE® 8595 to the workability and compressive strength of concrete. Before making the specimens, testing the properties of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate in the laboratory and planning the composition of the concrete mixture using the DOE (Department of Environment) method according to SNI 03-2834-2000. The specimens were cylindrical in shape with a diameter of 150 mm and a height of 300 mm with 3 samples for each variation, and each concrete sample was tested at the age of 28 days. From the results of testing the compressive strength of concrete aged 28 days, concrete with the addition of 0.25% FABA and MasterGlenium ACE® 8595 in the concrete mixture, there was a decrease in the compressive strength of concrete in variations BFB-1 and BF1MG-0.25% by 14.19% with The average compressive strength value is 25.09 MPa, while the average compressive strength value of normal concrete is 29.24 MPa. From this value, it can be concluded that the addition of 0.25% FABA and MasterGlenium ACE® 8595 to the concrete mixture showed no effect on increasing the compressive strength. However, with the addition of 0.25% MasterGlenium ACE® 8595 in each FABA, it has the effect of producing good workability and the slump test value becomes normal.
