ABSTRAK
Road is one of the land transportation infrastructure that has an important role for
economic growth, socio-culture, development and defense and security to support
national development as stated in Law Number 13 of 1980 and Government
Regulation No. 26 of 1985. In the process of developing Indragiri Hulu Regency
as a developing area, road facilities are very vital to facilitate traffic flow and
accelerate regional economic growth. Waterway Molek - Japura intersection
which is located in the Upper Indragiri Regency which has a length of 2,150 Km
and a width of 7.5 m. The road construction was realized by the existence of road
improvement activities in the sub-district, Pasir turtle, in the widening activity of
the Molek Waterway - Japura intersection which was carried out under the
Department of Highways and Irrigation in Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau
Province. In using heavy equipment for road construction, it is necessary to pay
attention to the type of road construction, heavy equipment used, knowledge of
the capacity and capability of heavy equipment to meet the requirements of use,
namely not to cause waste of labor, capital, productivity and meet safety needs.
