Pengembangan LKPD Elektronik Materi Perbandingan Berbasis Model PBL Berkonteks Budaya Melayu Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMP
human beings who are able to keep up with the pace of development of science and technology in the 21st century. One of the four 21st century skills that are quite important is the ability to think critically. On the other hand, when viewed from the achievement of the national examination (UN) in the field of mathematics in 2019, is 45.52 is quite low. Especially about the material questions Proportion of many students who are not able to answer well. Only 24% of students can answer well. This happens because it turns out that UN questions about Proportion materials are included in the category of non-routine questions, which to be able to solve non-routine category questions require mathematical critical thinking skills.
The low mathematical critical thinking skills of these students shows that the quality of learning in schools still needs to be improved. Factors that affect the quality of learning are the learning process designed with the learning model and teaching materials used. The learning model that can facilitate mathematical critical thinking skills is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The basis of learning with the PBL model is a problem that can be found in everyday life and is familiar with students, therefore the problem can be in the form of problems with the context of local culture, namely Malay culture. Not only the learning model, but the teaching materials also greatly affect the quality of learning. One of the teaching materials that can be used in the learning process is the Student Worksheet. This conventional Student Worksheet in the form of sheets of paper has several limitations. These limitations include the limitations of space and time, and the delivery of material is only limited in the form of descriptive texts. Based on these limitations, innovation can be carried out by transforming Student Worksheet into Electronic Student Worksheet. Electronic Student Worksheet is an electronic Student Worksheet that can be run on a laptop or smartphone so that it can be accessed anytime and anywhere and can also be presented with videos and animations in it.
Based on the nature of Electronic Student Worksheet as a means of facilitating student mathematical critical thinking skills, the problem is how to design and develop electronic Student Worksheet based on the PBL model with a Malay cultural context to improve valid and practical student mathematical critical thinking skills. Based on this, it is necessary to study the development of electronic Student Worksheet in question related to validity and practicality in terms of facilitating student mathematical critical thinking skills. The validity of Electronic Student Worksheet is obtained from validation by experts (experts) and the practicality of Electronic Student Worksheet is obtained from assessments by practitioners (practitioners).
The purpose of this study is to develop Student Worksheet Electronic Comparison material based on the PBL model with a Malay cultural context to improve the
mathematical critical thinking skills of students in class VII junior high school
that are valid and practical. This research is a development research using the
ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation).
At the analysis stage, it was obtained that the ability of mathematical critical
thinking skills students is still low so that electronic Student Worksheet is needed
for comparison material based on the PBL model with Malay cultural context.
The aspects of Malay culture used include aspects of traditional culinary, art, and
historical relics. At the design stage, the initial design of the Electronic Student
Worksheet was carried out so as to produce prototype 1. In the development
stage, electronic Student Worksheet validation and one-on-one evaluation were
carried out so as to produce electronic Student Worksheet that met the very valid
criteria with an average validation value of 4.44. Then at the implementation and
evaluation stage, it produced an Electronic Student Worksheet that met the very
practical criteria with an average gain of 4.36. The results showed that the
Electronic Student Worksheet developed had met valid criteria from the aspects of
content, language, appearance, and facilitating mathematical critical thinking
skills. Then based on the student response questionnaire, the Electronic Student
Worksheet developed has also met practical criteria, in other words, Electronic
Student Worksheet is feasible and practical to use in the learning process and can
facilitate student mathematical critical thinking skills.
