Pengembangan Lkm Elektronik Materi Ekosistem Perairan Tawar Untuk Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Naturalistik Mahasiswa Pada Mata Kuliah Ekologi Perairan
Aquatic Ecology course is a complex material that studies various
typologies and interactions in an aquatic ecosystem. Aquatic ecology studies the
characteristics of flowing (lotic) and stationary (lentic) waters which include the
characteristics and interactions of physical, chemical and biological factors and
their relation to water quality. Aquatic ecology lectures are identical to field
practicum activities, but in the Covid pandemic situation, the implementation of
Aquatic Ecology lectures becomes less effective, both in the Cognitive, Affective
and Psychomotor domains. In general, the purpose of aquatic ecology courses is
related to nature-based learning, one of the nature-based learning activities is to
use naturalistic intelligence-based learning. Based on the results of the analysis
that has been carried out on Biology Education students who have carried out
Online Aquatic Ecology lectures, it was found that in general students' naturalitic
intelligence has an average of 64.17% in the good category but still needs to be
improved, so that naturalitic intelligence becomes more optimal. . In addition,
judging from the existing MFIs, it is still necessary to make development efforts,
especially in the aspect of naturalitic intelligence indicators.
Based on the results of interviews with lecturers in aquatic ecology courses,
it is still necessary to develop special teaching materials for MFIs by utilizing the
resources available on the Riau University campus to support the lecture process,
especially field practicum activities for aquatic ecology courses. Therefore, it is
necessary to develop the Aquatic Ecology Electronic LKM as an alternative
teaching material in order to improve students' naturalistic intelligence. This study
aims to: (1) determine the validity of the Electronic LKM for Freshwater Ecosystem
Materials to increase the Naturalistic Intelligence of Students in Aquatic Ecology
Courses; (2) Knowing the Practicality of Electronic LKM for Freshwater
Ecosystem Materials: (3) Knowing students' perceptions of the results of
developing Electronic LKM for Freshwater Ecosystem Materials; (4) Knowing the
increase in students' Naturalistic Intelligence after using the Electronic LKM for
Freshwater Ecosystem Materials in the Aquatic Ecology Course.
This research is a research and development conducted at FKIP UNRI in
the Even Semester of 2021/2022. The development model used is the ADDIE Model
which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and
Evaluation stages. The parameters measured in this study were: (1) the validity of
the Electronic MFI; (2) Electronic MFI practicality; (3) students' perceptions of
the results of the development of the Electronic LKM; (4) learning outcomes; and
(5) students' Naturalistic Intelligence. Data was collected through: (1) field
observations, (2) interviews and questionnaires, and (3) cognitive tests. Data
analysis was done descriptively. The results obtained are as follows: (1) Validation
value of the results of the development of the Electronic MFI as a whole is classified
as very valid with an average value of 95.67%, based on the aspect of display
quality 94.64%, software aspects 93.75% , aspects of use 95.31%, aspects of the
xvi
feasibility of content and material 95.67% and aspects of linguistic feasibility
95.83%. (2) the overall practicality value of the Electronic MFI has an average of
78.96%, based on the aspect of use 79.08%, on the aspect of time efficiency 77.43%
and on the aspect of benefit 79.23%; (3) Student's Perception Test on the results of
the development of the Electronic LKM for Freshwater Ecosystem Materials is
classified as very good, with an average value of 78.96% from the results of the
limited trial and 87.52% from the experimental test results of the Electronic LKM;
(4) Students' Naturalistic Intelligence using Electronic LKM (experimental class)
increased from 64.02 to 83.18 with a moderate increase value (0.53). Meanwhile,
without using Electronic LKM (control class) it increased by 60.67 to 67.54 with a
low increase value (0.18).
Overall, the application of the Electronic LKM for Freshwater Ecosystem
Materials is classified as very good. However, the results of increasing students'
naturalitic intelligence scores after using the Electronic LKM are still relatively
moderate. This is due to the online learning factor for these 2 years which has
reduced the intensity of biology education students in conducting practical work in
the field, field practicum activities are a very important and very basic activity in
improving naturalistic intelligence abilities. The ability of students to indicators of
naturalistic intelligence which is integrated into the Electronic LKM is a supporting
factor in increasing students' naturalistic intelligence. In general, the ability of
students to understand the Electronic LKM for each student can vary and also the
use of the electronic LKM still really needs help from educators in helping students
provide an understanding of field practicum activities using the Electronic LKM
that has been developed, so that the achievement of increasing Naturalistic
Intelligence can be done well.
Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions were obtained:
(1) The results of the development of the Electronic LKM for Freshwater Ecosystem
Materials to increase the Naturalistic Intelligence of Students in the Aquatic
Ecology Course were classified as very valid; (2) The results of the practicality test
of the Electronic LKM for Freshwater Ecosystem Materials to improve the
Naturalistic Intelligence of Students in the Aquatic Ecology Course are classified
as Practical and can be used; (3) Students' perceptions of the results of the
development of the Electronic LKM for Freshwater Ecosystem Materials to
improve the Naturalistic Intelligence of Students in the Aquatic Ecology Course are
classified as very good; and (4) the use of the Electronic LKM for Freshwater
Ecosystem Materials can increase students' naturalistic intelligence. Based on the
results of this study, the Electronic LKM for Freshwater Ecosystem Materials to
improve the Naturalistic Intelligence of Students in the Aquatic Ecology Course can
be used as an alternative teaching material for Aquatic Ecology courses at the
Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University and other universities.
