REPRESENTATION OF THE VALUES OF LOVE IN SHIREISHOU'S NOVEL OBSESSIVE LOVE
(Ferdinand De Saussure's Semiotic Analysis Study)

Novels are literary works in the form of print or electronic media that communicate the mandate and values of life in them, one of which is the value of love, one of the novels that discusses the value of love is the novel obsessive love by shireishou which was published in 2020, this novel tells how recovery trauma of victims of sexual violence through the values of love, this makes researchers interested in knowing how the novel obsessive love represents the values of love through the stories it conveys
In the novel Obsessive Love, there are signs and meanings that can be studied with the semiotic study of Ferdinand De Saussure. The purpose of this study is to describe the representation of love values through Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis in Shireishou's novel Obsessive Love. The research method used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative, data obtained through observation, literature study and documentation.
The results showed that the signifier and signified findings in the novel Obsessive Love represent the values of love, namely the objects of love according to Erich Fromm, namely the love of God, mother, self, fellow human beings and erotic. The conclusion of this study is that the signifier and the signified are one unit of the sign. The signifier is a form while the signified is a concept, both of which form a sign that has meaning or meaning, and in the novel Obsessive Love found 33 quotes that show the semiotic concept of Ferdinand De Saussure, namely signifier and signified. The novel Obsessive Love represents the value of love for others in accordance with the mental health issues experienced by victims of sexual violence who experience self-recovery through the help of people who have concern for their fellow human beings, who view all humans as equal.
