Optimasi Penempatan Static Var Compensator (Svc) Pada Jaringan Distribusi Listrik Menggunakan Metode Particle Swarm Optimization (Pso)
Faults in electric power system undoubtedly can not be denied because of the long distribution distance and a wide range scoping area as well as faster growth of population compared to the improvement of existing electric power system. This condition gives a big impact towards the load flow in the transmission and distribution which leads to a large voltage drop and electric power loss, so reactive power compensation is needed to follow the voltage changes. In order to stabilized the power voltage loss, placing Static Var Compensator (SVC) can be the solution. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm applied to determine which location perfectly fits for SVC placement on The Soebrantas 20kV power distribution network by using Matlab Software. Power flow simulation was carried out using ETAP Software. The Soebrantas 20kV power distribution network is a radial electricity distribution network which has 9 buses of 20kv and 1 bus of 0,38 kV where 7 out of 9 buses of 20kV have voltages below the standard permitted by SPLN 1 : 1995 and IEC 60364 which is 5%,PUIL 2011 which is 4% . The optimal location to place the SVC is on the third Soebrantas bus which can fix the bus voltage to the permitted standard and decrease 417kW active power loss and 234 kVAr reactive power loss.
