Analisis Kapasitas Dan Parameter Bangunan Terjun Pada Saluran Drainase Jalan Nasional Padang – Bukit Tinggi (Km 65.515 – Km 68.515)
The city of Padang Panjang - West Sumatra Province is located in a hilly area with
steep reliefs marked by a surface slope above 15%, that will be the channel in that
area has a high flow velocity so that it can potentially damage the structure.
Therefore, this study was carried out with goal of analyzing the capacity and
parameters of the drop structure for drainage channel in the hilly area so that it
has a low slope of the channel based then it can be reduce flow of velocity. The
method used is the calculation of the maximum daily rainfall and the application
parameters of the drop structure. The results obtained are the 5-year design rainfall
value of 151,864 mm and the design discharge of 2,260 m3/sec where the design
channel capacity after the application of the drop structure must exceed this value.
Design for the application of the drop structure in this channel obtained a total of
213 drop along the 3000 m channel and total loss of height energy that 270.105 m
at an average height drop structure of 0.6 m and a normal slope 0.004, so it maked
the flow velocity that occurs under 1.44 m/sec (permit velocity = 1.5 m/sec).
