Analisis Sekuens Barkode Dna Pada Daerah Matk Tumbuhan Rimbang (Solanum Torvum Sw.)
Rimbang (Solanum torvum Sw.) is a shrub from the Solanaceae family that grows in the tropics. Identifying plant species can be done molecularly by using short pieces of DNA called DNA barcodes. This study aims to analyze DNA barcode sequence in the matK of rimbang plants (Solanum torvum Sw.) taken in the city of Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The stages of this research consisted of morphological observations, sample preparation, total DNA isolation, total DNA electrophoresis, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), electrophoresis of PCR products, sequencing, and data analysis. Data was analyzed using Bioedit, BLASTn, and MEGA6 programs. The results obtained in this study were the length of the matK sequence in rimbang plants measuring 863 bp and having a 99,19% similarity with Solanum torvum. There are 17 nucleotide variations and 5 of them are critical nucleotides. Based on the dendogram, the rimbang plants formed a group with Solanum torvum, Solanum albidum and Solanum chrysotrichum.
