Uji Fitokimia Dan Aktivitas Antioksidan Dari Beberapa Jenis Tumbuhan Tacca Menggunakan Metode 2,2-Diphenyl-1-Picrylhydrazyl (Dpph)
Tacca is a plant from the Taccaceae family that has the potential to be used in the field of medicine. The secondary metabolite content of several types of Tacca is useful for treating gastric diseases, diarrhea, dysentery and has antioxidant and antibacterial properties. This study aims to determine the phytochemical content and IC50 value of several types of Tacca plants that have the potential as anticancer. This study used leaf organs derived from three types of Tacca with samples macerated using methanol solvent and tested for phytochemical content of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and steroids as well as antioxidant activity using 2,2-Diphenyl-1-Picrylhydrazyl compounds (DPPH). The results showed that the leaves of the three types of Tacca contained alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and steroids. The results of the antioxidant activity test using DPPH showed that the three types of Tacca had very strong antioxidant activity in the order of Tacca sp 1, Tacca sp 2 and Tacca sp 3 with IC50 values of 0.24 ppm, 1.58 ppm and 1.68 ppm. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the leaves of the three types of Tacca have the potential to be used as drugs.
