Pengaruh Jumlah Penduduk Miskin Dan Letak Daerah Terhadap Distribusi Pendapatan Di Sumatera Dengan Metode Analisis Kovarian
Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) is an analytical technique that is useful for increasing the precision of an experiment because it is subject to the influence of other uncontrolled variables (covariates). The purpose of this method is to find or see the effect of treatment of a variable by controlling for other quantitative variables. ANCOVA can be said to be the combination of ANOVA and regression techniques. Covariance is used because the y variable (which increases after being affected by a research treatment) is linearly related to another variable, namely the
variable. In this study Gini ratio data and the number of poor people in Sumatera in 2020. ANCOVA is an efficient analysis to determine the relationship between the location of the area and the Gini ratio, which is influenced by the poor in every region on Sumatera island. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the location of the area affects the average level of the income distribution. However, in this case, the poor do not influence the level of the income distribution. This may be due to the influence of other variables in each region that causes the poor to not be a significant enough influence to determine the level of inequality.
