Kajian Kerentanan Wilayah Pesisir Berdasarkan Sistem Informasi Geografis (Studi Kasus : Pulau Lingga, Kabupaten Lingga)
ABSTRACT
The North Coast of Lingga Island is a critical area because it is directly facing the South China Sea which is a vast ocean and the dominant wind comes from the Northeast. These conditions can affect coastal vulnerability. Vulnerability analysis needs to be done to find out information on the value of the coastal vulnerability index so that it can be useful as a first step to prevent coastal damage on Lingga Island. Analysis of determining coastal vulnerability can be done by assessing the physical condition of the beach. Weighing the level of coastal vulnerability in this study using the CVI (Coastal Vulnaerability Index) and Geographic Information System (GIS) technology for image interpretation, resimple and create a grid on the coast. CVI is a relative ranking method based on an index scale of coastal parameters such as: shoreline changes, visual observation of coastal damage, length of coastal damage, width of coastal damage, green belt width, lithology, wave height, tidal distance, land use, and beach slope. The data needed in this study are satellite imagery, hydro-oceanography, bathymetry and tidal data. Hydro-oceanographic data were used for wave height analysis and bathymetric data were used for shore slope analysis. The results obtained in this study, from the CVI method, showed that the level of coastal vulnerability in Lingga Island was classified in the low and medium vulnerability categories with vulnerability indexes of 11,62 and 25,46. With a CVI index that is between 0 to 25 for low vulnerability and 25 to 50 for moderate vulnerability.
